Presentation of the first personalised Globi book
Globi is probably the most popular children's figure in Switzerland. The latest volume was created in collaboration with the young Zurich publisher Librio, which is known for its personalised children's books. For the very first time it is possible to decide for yourself who should spend an adventurous day with the iconic parrot man.
Guests from the media industry, bloggers and many kids were enchanted by Globi at the book launch on Wednesday afternoon. Gisela Klinkenberg, publisher of Globi, presented the new book project and talked about the Swiss cult figure. Ed Russell, CEO of the Zurich start-up Librio, provided insights into the production and potential of personalised children's books. In order to ensure that the children did not become tired of all the lectures, Globi illustrator Daniel Frick demonstrated his drawing skills and the children could have themselves drawn by him. However, the highlight for the kids was the arrival of Globi himself at the venue! He was available for photos and the most popular photo subject was by far the self-made «pedalicopter», which was set up in front of the entrance of the Kulturmarkt. At the end, the guests were welcome to enjoy a healthy aperitif and let a successful book launch come to a close. Ed, Gisela and Daniel gladly answered questions from numerous interested visitors.
